WebOS API
WebOS Wireless Engine
WebOS Business Application Engine
The WebOS API enables access to applications and data from any compatible browser-enabled computer. Users view data and files in a traditional "Windows-like interface. Unlike a traditional Operating System, the user's files and applications all reside on WebOS servers. WebOS surpasses client-server network configurations by utilizing the World Wide Web as the network. The WebOS API is a complete set of Graphical User Interface (GUI) components. The components can be used to develop stand-alone applications or GUI front ends for existing web-based or legacy programs. Unlike standard development toolkits, the WebOS API is designed to function in both Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator browsers, without the hassle of rewriting applications.
WebOS Wireless is a powerful platform that enables the enterprise to rapidly extend any application, data, and services to any wireless device or format. WebOS Wireless provides a platform on which to make your existing internet services available to the 1 billion mobile devices that will soon access the Internet by 2005. With WebOS Wireless complex existing applications can now be extended beyond the desktop without change.
The WebOS Business Application Engine is a set of reusable server-side components consisting of a set of tools written in Java tailored specifically for use with a Java enabled web platform that can be used for the rapid application development of web-based business applications. All existing application components are already synchronized with Palm, Outlook and feature Wireless accessibility. These libraries are platform independent and are extensible through the creation of additional libraries.
