Modifying Microsoft Office files directly in HyperOffice

You can modify Microsoft Office files directly in HyperOffice without downloading them.

Usage Guidelines

To use this feature, you must have HyperDrive set up. Once your HyperDrive is set up, you can open and modify Microsoft Office files without downloading them.

Follow these steps:

  1. Refer to one of the following topics to set up HyperDrive on your computer:

  2. Select a file from your HyperOffice personal or group documents section.

  3. Open the file directly from HyperOffice personal or group documents section.

  4. Modify the file’s content.

  5. Click the save as button.

  6. Choose My Network Places

  7. Choose the hyperdrive.hyperoffice.com folder.

  8. Navigate through your personal or shared documents until you locate the folder you want to save this file in.

  9. Save the file.

  10. Close the file.

All your modifications are now saved.

Note: DO NOT CLICK THE SAVE BUTTON IN STEP 4, YOU MUST CLICK THE SAVE AS BUTTON. The save button will only save the file modifications in your computer’s temporary internet files folder. Most files opened from the internet are automatically deleted from the temporary internet files folder as soon as you close them, thus none of your changes will be saved if you use the save button.
