Then, HyperShare will create the Group folders in Outlook. These newly created group folders in Outlook will correspond to the groups in HyperOffice. Drag your items from your old Outlook folders into the ones created by HyperShare and they will sync. Items placed in folders created by HyperShare will sync into HyperOffice.
Q: What is the difference between the "Configuration" and "Synchronize" options when I right-click the HyperShare icon in the system tray? A: The Configuration sync maps out the folder and group structure between Outlook and HyperOffice. This allows you to select specific groups to sync. The "Synchronize" option comes next. It does the actual work of getting your Outlook and HyperOffice data in sync.

Q: I have a lot of folders in Outlook. How can I get the data to go into my HyperOffice account? A: If you haven't already, first run a configure sync. This will create a folder in Outlook under your main sections called "Groups". Next, log in to your HyperOffice account and create create a group. Then, create a folder in Outlook underneath the Groups folder that has the exact name as the group you created in HyperOffice. These newly created group folders in Outlook will correspond to the groups in HyperOffice. Drag your items from your old Outlook folders into the ones you created and run the sync.

Q: What are the 2 stars ** by my folder names in Outlook? A: HyperShare will put 2 stars in front of folders in Outlook that will not sync over to HyperOffice. If you want data in these starred folders to go to sync, you must first create the groups in HyperOffice. After creating the groups, HyperShare will create new folders in Outlook. Then you can drag the contents of the starred folders into the newly created folders. Now your data will sync up.
Q: Does HyperShare for Outlook sync my Email? A: No, HyperShare for Outlook and your IMAP or POP3 Email settings are seperate items. If you would like your HyperOffice Email to go to Outlook, follow these instructions. After setting up both IMAP and HyperShare, you will see a notification pop up when you have received an Email.
Q: I like the calendar option that creates folders for my groups in Outlook, but I need to Sync my mobile device to a single calendar. What should I do? A: You can switch between calendar options. Just run the configuration sync again and choose the first or second calendar option. Now your items will sync to one calendar. HyperShare allows you to move between calendar sync options.
Q: I get an error message saying Query Outlook.interface Failed. What should I do? A: This happens sometimes when HyperShare has lost connection to the outlook database. You will need to restart HyperShare. Right click on the HyperShare icon and choose "Exit". Then start HyperShare again. If you continue to receive this error, restart your computer.
Q: What does clearing the database do, and when should I do it? A: Clearing the database erases all data that HyperShare has. It lets you start over with HyperShare. It is usefull if you have made major changes in Outlook or HyperOffice and want to start over with a fresh sync. Clearing the database should also be used if you are changing Outlook profiles and want to use the Sync with a different HyperOffice account. After clearing the database, you will most likely see warning messages during your first sync asking you which items to keep (Portal or Outlook). This is because HyperShare does not have the data anymore as to which item was changed last. After making your decisions, these messages will not show up again.
QueryInterface for interface Outlook._Application Failed HyperShare has to connect to Outlook to work correctly. This error occurs when the connection has been lost. To fix, Right-Click on HyperShare and choose "Exit". Then start HyperShare again.
Failure code: 204 - Unable to Synchronize; Invalid contact item This warning tells you that a certain contact does not fit the criteria to be added to HyperOffice. HyperShare will skip over this contact. To fix, make a note of the contact and wait until the sync is done. Then make the correct changes and clear out the database by right-clicking the HyperShare icon, selecting "Support" and "Clear the Database". Then run the configure sync again.
It looks like it's working, but no data is synching Right-click on the HyperShare icon, choose "Support" then click "clear database". Now right click on HyperShare again and choose "configuration". Follow the instructions Here. Please remember that items in folders that have **two stars in front of them will not sync over into HyperOffice. Specified Cast is not Valid When HyperShare has an item that cannot be recognized due to format, it will throw this error. The most common cause of this message is a "Distribution List" in your contacts section. A distribution list is a contact that is a list of Email Addresses. To fix, remove the item from any folders that are synching.
If you cannot find the item causing the error do the following:
Move all your items to a backup folder that is not synching (most likely a **folder).
Move 10 to 20 items back into the synching folder.
Run a Synchronize
Repeat steps 2 and 3, adding more items to the Synching folder
Stop when you find the specified cast error.
Remove the item causing the error from the synching folder.
