Winn-Dixie Improves Scheduling Using HyperOffice
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. and ROCKVILLE, Md., Sept. 18, 2007 - Winn-Dixie
Stores Inc. (NASDAQ: WINN) has announced its decision to make the
online calendar tool
HyperOffice available to the more than 52,000 Associates who operate
the grocer's 520 stores, three manufacturing plants, six distribution
centers and its corporate headquarters.
"HyperOffice enables us to increase our productivity by
streamlining the process we use to schedule meetings and better
enabling us to avoid conflicts," said Pete Martinez, department
training specialist at Winn-Dixie.
The grocery giant is one of a growing number of Fortune 500
companies adopting HyperOffice, the award-winning webware that makes it
easier for owners, employees, clients, partners and suppliers of
growing businesses to collaborate, communicate, plan projects,
edit and share documents, schedule meetings, and manage information anytime and from any Internet connection.
The suite of Web-based applications does not need to be installed by an
IT department. Instead, HyperOffice operates as a service from host
computers and delivers to growing organizations today the power and
productivity of
group collaboration software
-- business-class email without spam and viruses; document management
with online storage, versioning, user rights and workflow;
contact management, scheduling, task management, discussion groups, security, backup, and more - at a fraction of the cost.
HyperOffice includes
HyperShare for Outlook. Built into HyperOffice at
no added cost, HyperShare extends the power of Outlook and operates as
both a complement to and an
alternative to Microsoft Exchange.
"Growing businesses need to scale operations and HyperOffice lets them
do that effectively," said Farzin Arsanjani, president of HyperOffice. "HyperOffice adds to business capabilities without affecting
operational agility, improves responsiveness irrespective of location
and time constraints, and offers a tremendous competitive advantage."
"HyperOffice is now rolling out throughout our entire
operating area," said Martinez. "We are spending less time organizing
meetings, which gives us more time to continue getting better at
serving our customers."
"The ease of use, affordability, accessibility and features
like calendar overlays, notifications, previewing availability,
interlinking and public
online calendars are critical to HyperOffice's
success," said Martinez.
